The Scottish Fisheries Museum in Anstruther, in the East Neuk of Fife has been granted £75,000 for its internationally important collection. If you look in the image above, you can see their beautiful old Herring Drifter ‘Reaper’ firste registered in 1902 – and still in sailing condition thanks to volunteers and earlier grants. Her well-travelled story is here.

Today a new exhibition opens: Science and Seamonsters. It will be open till 5th May with a special afternoon event by the curator Dr Charles Paxton of St Andrews University on 16th March.
